BLOCK - OF- THE - MONTH Club 2024
"A Study of the World War II Homefront"
Victory Quilts represents a look back into life on the home front during the World War II years in America. Each block represents a slice of history with a story to tell. These blocks are traditional patterns from that era.
If you have family photo pics of the "greatest generation", consider photo-transferring their pictures onto your quilt! Marti's Mom and Dad are pictured on her little quilt!! Her Dad was a B-17 pilot stationed in England and her Mom was a telephone operator!!
There are a total of 20 blocks to study and you have a choice between 6" blocks or 12" blocks for your quilt.
Our text contains instructions for 5 quilt sizes in addition to lots of extra projects like table runners and wall quilts that you can make with your blocks as well. You will learn many quilt techniques including strip piecing, triangle squares, applique, flying geese patches, foundation-piecing, and much more. Marti has also scheduled extra
blocks for even more fun!!!
